Chern semimetal and the quantized anomalous Hall effect in HgCr2Se4

In 2011, Professor Xu Gang and his collaborators extended the concept of topological classification of electronic states in condensed states from insulators to semimetals, defining a new topological material state, the double-Weyl semi-metal, demonstrating Weyl node. The inevitable existence of the three-dimensional strong topology of ferromagnetic successfully predicted the topologically protected double-Weyl fermions in the ferromagnetic semi-metal HgCr2Se4. The papers written in this work are one of the classics in the field of topological semi-metals, and have been rated as editor-recommended articles. Physics has also published introductory articles, currently cited more than 650 times.
