In 2016, Xu Gang et al. proposed that a stable Dirac-type surface state can exist on the surface of the superconducting topological metal FeSe0.5Te0.5, and modeling demonstrated the two-dimensional topological superconducting state induced by the proximity effect of the topological surface state acceptor material. Later on, the Ding Hong experimental group observed the suspected Majorana zero-energy mode in the FeSe0.5Te0.5 system.
