Project Description:

Topological semi-metals have attracted extensive attention in the condensed matter physics community due to their rich electronic properties and great application value, and have developed into a frontier research field that is of great significance in both basic physics and technology applications. Based on the applicant's previous work basis, the project will continue to carry out theoretical and computational research on topological semi-metals; through first-principles calculations and theoretical analysis, provide new solutions for topological semi-metals, and find and design new top-level semi-metal materials. Including Dirac semi-metal, Weyl semi-metal, node-line semi-metal and new fermion semi-metal; carry out theoretical research on magnetic new-fermion semi-metal. The research goal is to find 3-5 topological semi-metal candidate materials with stable structure, excellent properties and easy application. It provides important material platform and theoretical support for experimental research and device development; expands theoretical understanding of topological semi-metals, reveals related novel phenomena; it is expected to achieve some world-class original results in the field of topological electronic states, and publish more than 12 high-level papers, including 2-3 articles in the PRL and Nature sub-publishes; train 4-6 outstanding master students and 2-3 outstanding doctoral students.
