From January 18th to 21st, 2018, the Strong Magnetic Field Center held a seminar on quantum material calculation in the C204 conference room. More than 10 experts and scholars from well-known universities and research institutes such as Nanjing University, Wuhan University, Ningbo Institute of Materials Technology and Engineering, Chinese Academy of Sciences, teachers and students from the strong magnetic field centers Yao Kailun, Xu Gang, Liu Xin, Gao Jinhua and other students attended the seminar meeting.
Professor Yao Kailun gave a welcome speech and welcomed the arrival of experts and scholars. He also introduced the basic situation of the strong magnetic field center and the achievements of scientific research. I hope that everyone can make full use of this opportunity to strengthen exchanges and enhance understanding.
A total of eight special reports and one concentrated discussion were held in this seminar. Experts and scholars combined their research directions and the latest research results to develop theories and calculations in the fields of spintronics, topological semi-metal, topological superconductivity and other fields. In-depth and meticulous communication, and explore the direction and issues of future cooperation. During the period, experts and scholars also visited various scientific experimental stations of the Strong Magnetic Field Center and related laboratories of the School of Physics to further understand the research situation of the laboratory.
The conference provided a good academic exchange opportunity for experts and scholars, and further expanded the influence of the strong magnetic field center in related research fields, laying a foundation for future cooperation and exchange of the strong magnetic field center.
