The annual year-end summary and report-back meetingin 2022 ofthe project "Novel quantum physical properties induced by strong spin orbit Coupling and multi-field regulation under comprehensive extreme Conditions" led by Professor Xu Gang from National High Magnetic Field Center and supported by"the National key Research and Development Program for the youth" was held online on December 4,2022. Professor Ding Dajun of Jilin University,Professor Sun Zhenrong of East China Normal Univerty,Professor Wang Nanlin and Wang Jian of Peking University,Professor Ding Hong of Shanghai Jiao Tong University,Professor Luo Jianlin and Jin Changqing of Institute of Physics, Chinese Academy of Sciences,Professor Dai Xi of Hong Kong University of Science and Technology,Professor Shan Lei of Anhui University, Director Li Yunlong of the General Business Department of the Chinese Academy of Sciences, Professor Yao Kailun of Huazhong University of Science and Technology, Deputy Director Ye Haixiang of the Institute of Science and Technology Development of Huazhong University of Science and Technology and other experts and members of the project team attended the meeting.

At the meeting, Professor Yao Kailun delivered a speech, thanking all the experts for their guidance and asking for more valuable opinions and suggestions from the experts. On behalf of the project, Professor Xu Gang reported the research progress and important results of the project in the past two years to the project expert group, including the project tasks and preliminary completion, the implementation in 2021-2022, the main research results in 2021-2022, the current project progress and future work priorities, etc., and fully communicated and listened to the opinions of the experts. The members of the expert group thought that the project was progressing smoothly, the research results was rich, and the advantages of the team members were complementary, and suggested the project team to further summarize and refine the characteristics and innovative value of the project results, highlight the highlights of the project and the advancement of the platform, and make full preparations for the conclusion of the project next year. At the same time, they suggested the project team to make full use of the newly-built large device experiment platform for comprehensive extreme conditions and seize one or two important material systems, and give full play to the advantages of the platform to solve major scientific problems. Finally, the experts suggested the project team to plan the application for future projects while summarizing the experience of this project.

Through this meeting, the project team further strengthened the communication, clarified the research ideas, and laid a solid foundation for the next research work and the conclusion of the project. In the past two years, members of the project team had made joint efforts to build an experimental platform and carry out research. All the work has been steadily promoted. Supported by this project, 31 SCI papers were published in 2021-2022, among which 17 were first marked with this project number. Through these published papers, the research results of the project team had gained wide attention and enhanced the exchange of research results with domestic and foreign counterparts.
